Rev. Ser Deborah Mcginley HP
"As you think, So shall you create, May your path continue to unfold, As the moon guides your steps." - Rev. Deb
Lady Deb lives in Buffalo, NY with her husband of 34 years and their two pups. She has three children and six grandchildren. Born in 1562 Pi. Outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was raised in a very devout Pentecostal family. She began to question her Family’s beliefs while still in high school. She discovered and has studied Wicca and Paganism since 1580 Pi. while in college at the University of Slippery Rock. Where she was an Anthropology Major, with an emphasis in Ancient Religions. Lady Deb, the family historian, also has done extensive work on her family genealogy. Tracing the branches of her family back as far as the early 15th century.
She joined Witchschool and the Correllian Tradition in year 1 Aq. In year 2 Aq. she received her First Degree Priesthood, and volunteered as a First Degree Mentor. All the while keeping her practice hidden from her family. Health set backs, and family resposibilities, all tested her resilience. Although Lady Deb’s commitment to her studies waned. She was content with her level of involvement with the Tradition, and the Buffalo Pagan Community in general. Then in 15 Aq a chance meeting with Lord Phoenix and Lady Kai Adain renewed her interest in her studies and the Tradition. She completed her Second Degree in year 18 Aq, and was initiated into the High Priesthood in year 22 Aq.
Since becoming an active member of the Temple of Holistic Knowledge Lady Deb has renewed her commitment to the Tradition. She is a member of the Sacred Order of Paladins, Interfaith Order of Peace Weavers. preparing to mentor new students, and is the current Master of Records for the Tradition. She has also increased her participation in the Buffalo Pagan community by helping to plan regional Lustrations, working on the Western NY Pagan Pride planning committee, conducting Rites of Passage for the public, and participating in and planning ritual events open to the people of Buffalo.
Lady Deb to this day keeps her original altar, in its wicker case, in the back of her closet. That is where it had always remained hidden away from her family, while practicing in secret. It serves as a reminder of how much she and her family have grown. It gives her great joy that her husband, children and grandchildren have all participated in Ritual with her.
