I love this community. I love everything that makes this community special, and I am infinitely curious about those things that bring our community together.
I, Ed the Pagan, will dedicate the year 2020 to creating daily content from across all walks of life and making it available to the community. I will be traveling around the country, maybe even around the world, filming everyone I meet. From this film I will create 10 episodes about the wildly varied and wonderful Witches and Pagans that allow me to share in their magical experiences.

Why am I doing this?
I have been on a thirty year odyssey, interacting with Pagans, Witches, and all sorts of magical people. During that time, I have been a communicator and platform builder. I love listening to people and their stories and through newsletters, blogs, and podcasts, I have been able to share those stories. But in the upcoming year, I want to delve deeper into the soul of the community. I want to find out what people are doing to make their lives both magical and miraculous.

I have covered many major events over the years, and I feel that in 2020, Witches and Pagans will be willing to give me a closer look. Through perfect love and perfect trust, people will be able to bring their stories to life, to participate in an honest and open dialogue with the world. Wherever I am welcomed, I want to go. And viewers will be able to come along with me. They will be able to see the truths of our community preserved and shared for generations to come.
This funding is to help find communities that are often ignored, or ones that cannot afford to bring in guest speakers and filmmakers. By raising funds that will help with equipment and transportation, I can expand my reach to seek out more places than ever.
How I became Ed the Pagan.
In 1995, I was a regular caller to the WLS-AM broadcast program The Roe & Garry Show. I often commented and answered questions about the Pagan community. It was Roe and Garry who first gave me the nickname “Ed the Pagan” and began introducing me as such. In 2000 when I was presenting at Crossroads, Drema Baker became the first person to introduce me to the crowd as “Ed the Pagan”. That persona has been with me ever since.

My activities have included studying Pagans, Wiccans, and Witches, and talking to them about their lives. I have created magazines, radio shows, e-zines, online schools, videocasts, podcasts, and live broadcasts as well. I co-founded The Daily Spell, Witch School, Magick TV, and Pagans Tonight Radio Network. In this way I have developed my skills in order to encourage people to talk about their beliefs and practices. Today, my team has produced over 3,100 podcasts, over 4,000 videos, and interviews with over 500 Pagans leaders and community members. These are all available in online archives.
What is next?
I am committed to one year, 2020, of producing daily content. This will include videos, podcasts, blogs, and ways yet unknown, and will be finalized in the creation of at least 10 episodes of a reality-based documentary show. There will be live feeds, talks and interviews, and real time events. I will be sharing the entire process, giving you an inside and detailed look. My goal is to cover the whole experience of the communities: not only their events, interviews, and festivals, but also how they live, love and practice. I feel I am uniquely qualified for this task.

What are we funding?
The answer is: equipment, transportation, and editing costs. The upfront investment for this amazing project is to be able to reach many more people and help them to share their beliefs, ideas, and life experiences.

The trip will be partially offset by the hospitality of the many people who have offered room and board in various locations. Part of the charm of the Ed the Pagan Show will be this inside look into the lives of all different kinds of people. This will be further enhanced with speaking engagements and workshops. This ability to pay the upfront costs will allow us to create a sustainable program that exists for 2020, but will also remain as a community legacy for the future.
The first $1500 is to refresh and organize film and broadcast equipment: new cameras, sound board, and microphones.
Our second goal is up to $8500 for transport costs. This will allow us to do not just the Coast to Coast USA, but also the Philippines, Europe and Latin America. Everything above $10,000 will be divided between transportation, distribution, staffing, and equipment. This will allow me to say yes more often to more locations.
