This page is based upon Lord Eblis' interview in the "Faces of the Correllian" column in the Correllian Herald magazine. The "Faces of the Correllian" is an ongoing column written by Rev. Wolf Ciara and Rev. Nehal Shah.
This week we are talking with Lord Eblis, who is from Mexico. He has been kind enough to take some time from his busy schedule and let us interview him. This is both a personal interview and also some information about the Correllian Temple in Mexico.

His magical name is Eblis; and it chose him when he began his studies in Witchcraft & Wicca in 2000. He didn’t find The Correllian Tradition until almost three years later, in the beginning of 2003. He currently lives in Mexico City and has always lived in this beautiful country. Currently, he is the only Wiccan in his family, although they are all very open minded and are very interested, or as it could also be said, well-read, in many different beliefs and belief systems.
When he found WitchSchool in 2003, he started his First Degree on Correllian Wicca immediately, and it wasn’t long before he graduated from it. At that time, he could only join the Outer Court of the Tradition as he was still under the legal age for the Inner Court.
So, he joined Witch School as a Lifetime Member and continued studying his Second Degree on Correllian Wicca; time passed and when he finished the Second Degree he was accepted as an Inner Court Member and initiated as Second Degree Priest of The Tradition.

Eblis then started his Third Degree, from which he graduated just a few weeks ago. Lady Anna Rowe, whom he describes as being a wonderful and beautiful mentor, friend, guidance, role-model and inspiration – accompanied him all these years, by being his First, Second and Third Degree mentor; since the first day he signed up in Witch School!
Eblis is the founder and Head of the Dragon Temple, in Mexico, which currently consumes most of his time. They are still a small group, but he loves working and dedicating many of his hours to the Temple and its members. He describes his temple members as being a small family, like many other small Correllian Families that today exist and orbit around the globe – forming together one of the most amazing phenomena of our time: The Global Correllian Family.

He is also a member of the Sedna Temple and although he is not a very active one, because of lack of time, he always keeps Sedna Temple and its members on his altar and in his prayers.
If he could he would pertain to join many more Orders, Shrines and Temples within The Tradition, but being dedicated to the Dragon Temple, his personal studies and his career at college [he is finishing a Financial Management B.A.] and having an actual lack of time… he thinks he would be a terrible member!
Nevertheless, as Paulo Coelho said, obligations have never prevented anyone from fulfilling their dreams. He would love to join the World Walkers and the Crystal Web Orders, for example.

He is member of the Wiccan Brotherhood of the Sacred Tree, in Mexico. As in the case of the Temples, Shrines and Orders of The Correllian Tradition, he would also very much like to belong to many Wiccan Groups in Mexico and the World, but he guesses the proper time hasn’t yet come for this. He says that there’s a time for everything in life, and one shouldn’t force things to fit in.
He believes it is very important for us to take care of both aspects, in regards to solitary and groups: Yes, we should find and/or establish a real time group, because it is the only proper and natural human and healthy thing to do; but we also must practice in solitary and cultivate an even healthier personal exploration and practice of our Religion and of ourselves.
His most important guides – and the ones he has most worked with and he know best - are the members of his family that have gone into Spirit before him. He also likes to work with Dragon Magick, and invoke the assistance, force and guidance of these powerful beings.

To Eblis, Wicca means to many things; and many people would say that it is his life – and they wouldn’t be far from truth when they say so. He considers Wicca as a very important aspect of the World’s Future. Wiccans have a great potential as agents and assistants of change.
Eblis arrived to The Correllian Tradition through Witch School, but as many have also said, he felt with respect to Wicca and The Correllian Tradition a very strong connection since the beginning, as though things were meant to be; like him returning home after long years of being absent.

Eblis thinks that there is a great deal of work to do within The Correllian Tradition; and he wants to and hopes to participate in it. Gods knows it’s a pleasure for him, being part of such an important movement and such an important task.
The Correllian Tradition needs to grow even more; needs to have fixed reunion centers – Temple and Shrine buildings, schools, contemplative houses, etcetera – in the countries where its members live; the degrees need to be translated into every possible language, especially the ones with the most number of speakers; needs to hold more and more International events; needs to cultivate leaders, writers, researchers, etcetera: specialists in the key areas.

There are many things to do and many goals to accomplish. Everything’s possible as long as we are willing to do the effort, to take the time, to take the risks, to make the next movements and to stay together as The Correllian Family we are!
He is almost purely Correllian Wiccan, although – obviously – there’s an inherent integration of different beliefs, figures and practices of other cultures and systems in the Wiccan Religion. He is very fond of everything relating to the Celts and also likes many things from the Eastern World Cultures.

Before saying goodbye he would like to remind everyone that he is at their service, anyone can write to him at any time as there’s nothing he loves more than meeting Correllians from around the World and talking about our different, yet similar, Correllian experiences.
His email address is: [email protected]. He would like to stress the necessity to stay together as a Family and to oppose to the wrongdoing in the World. Let’s keep up the Good Work and let’s honour our Goddesses and Gods living The Correllian Way: “Whatever you do, do it with love and the good things of life will be yours”.
