Rev. Parker-Highcorrell first joined the tradition after receiving mentoring from M. Rev. Donald Lewis-Highcorrell in the late 20th century. He completed his initial training as a mentee of Rev. Ser. Deborah McGinley. He was formally inducted into the Tradition’s clergy at the Lustration of the Living in 7 Aquarius (2007), in Rossville, IL. Prior to this, in 4 Aquarius (2004) he was the second member of the Order of Paladins, joining after Rt. Rev. Ser. Jason Highcorrell (General Emeritus), making him one of the only original members of the Sacred Order of Paladins still serving.

Shortly after that he moved from Illinois to Maryland, where he completed his university undergraduate degree. From there he moved to Michigan for his first post graduate degree and then to the UK to complete his PhD. He has served as an educator and researcher at universities and a therapist for victims of violent crimes and human trafficking for about 10 years, before changing careers and becoming an engineer (as he had been working on VR/AR based therapies as part of his academic and clinical work). He returned to the US and continues his studies as a member of the tradition under the mentorship of M. Rev. Phoenix Coffin-Williams.

In 24 Aquarius (2024), 20 years after joining the original Sacred Order of Paladins (at the time called The Eternal Order of Paladins), he was promoted to leadership, when Rt. Rev. Ser. Jason retired and named Ser Z.J. his successor. In discussion with the First Priesthood and with the retiring previous leadership, it was decided that the current Eternal Order of Paladins should have their original and current mission statements blended. Rev. Parker-Highcorrell set about merging the two approaches and officially formalizing the way in which the order would operate (from standardized training for members, to duties, and rank advancement).

Though rarely used, Rev. Z.J’s full titular is:

Reverend Doctor Ser Z. J Parker-Highcorrell, Paladin General, Head of the Order of Paladins, Prince of Blood and Faith, Herald, Priest and Head of the Shrine of The Sacred Thread.
